Only X% of Creators Can Hit Six Figures
3 Numbers All Creators Need to Know (It Will Wake You Up from Your Sweet Dream)
Numbers are compass.
Numbers represent the facts.
Numbers provide insight.
So, if you're daydreaming and setting unrealistic goals, I hope these 3 numbers wake you up.
1.) Only 4% of creators reach six figures.
I’m sorry to wake you up from your dream.
But the reality is that only 4% of creators hit six figures.

Data from Linktree shows that, in 2023, 72% of creators made less than $500.
Surprise!!!
Recently, I had a conversation with a friend of mine. She wants to become a creator because she thinks, “This is the path to easy money.”
I said, “No, no.”
But then she said, “It’s easy. Just:
Create content (build traffic)
Write a newsletter (build trust)
Sell products in the newsletter ($$$)
That’s it.
Technically, it’s easy like this.
But the devil is in the details.
How do you create content that people care about?
How do you position yourself so people trust what you say?
How do you create a product that truly delivers results?
And so on.
These are just a few examples of the little details you’ll understand once you jump into the game.
But don’t get me wrong.
I'm not trying to discourage you.
I’m not telling you that being a creator is bad.
I’m not saying it’s impossible.
Because I believe you can reach that level.
But the reality is, there’s no free lunch here.
Forget about easy money.
Instead, you have to:
Put in a lot of effort (No pain, no gain)
Fail fast (To learn fast)
Think critically (Unlike the crowd)
To become part of the top 4%. This is what I want to remind you of.
If you think you can just do what most people do with less effort and hit six figures, I think you’re getting high on maple syrup.
2.) 5% conversion rate is typical for a paid newsletter.
Imagine you’ve just hit 100 subscribers.
You plan to turn on the paid subscriber tier.
Only 5 of them are willing to become paid subscribers.
This is the number I got from ConvertKit.
And it’s confirmed by suggestions from Substack.

But the reality can be worse than 5% if you do this wrong.
The moment I launch my workshop, I imagine this.
No, not 5% of my Medium followers
I just imagine 5% of my newsletter subscribers will turn into my clients.
But the reality is…
It's 0.25%.
This lesson taught me about the conversion rate the hard way.
The dream: more followers, more money.
The reality: a follower is nothing if you can’t convert.
And that’s shifted my content direction 180 degrees.
The thing is.
There are so many reasons that affect your conversation rate.
But the myth that more followers means more money is the most harmful and hardest to fix.
That’s why I’m mentioning it to you again.
3.) 55% of creators feel uncertainty around algorithms and social Media platforms
Algorithm anxiety is real.
But most people don’t get it.
They worship algorithms like gods.
And judgment day comes when you get a death sentence from the algorithms.
Your traffic? Dry.
Your hack? Doesn’t work.
Your income? From a dollar to a penny.
When you keep playing the game, you have zero chance to win. It causes you algorithm anxiety.
And 55% of uncertain creators are living proof.
Cure????
Before that, here’s why it doesn’t work:
A social platform isn’t a charity.
Their ultimate goal? Make money.
So, they’ll find a way for free users to get less traffic while paid users get more.
Plus, the more users on the platform, the more creators there are.
The more creators, the more bloodbath competition.
Here’s the evidence.
When you get the picture, you'll realize it’s better to write for humans, not algorithms.
But most people will think, "Hey, the email list beats the algorithms."
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I get it, bro.
But here’s my prediction: Most people will end up competing in the email list game too, and the competition will get harder and harder.
So, the short-term plan is to start your newsletter now.
And the long-term plan is to study how to write something people want to read, not how to please algorithms.
Why?
Because human psychology rarely changes.
And what humans want to read is still the same.
But if you don’t know how to get good at writing,
Good news: My copywork workshop will reopen soon. Drop me a DM if you're interested.
